This trip from Dubrovnik takes you to the small village of Trsteno which is known for its Arboretum and 15th century summer residence of Dubrovnik patrician family Gucetic-Gozze surrounded by the magnificent renaissance garden. Take a moment and enjoy a view over Elaphiti islands or take a walk to the baroque’s fountain immersed in the subtropical vegetation of magnolia, black bamboo,laurel,eucalyptus, palm and camphor trees. Trsteno has two of Europe’s oldest plane trees. From Trsteno we continue to Ston which is surrounded by the world’s second longest city walls. Ston is a home to delicious oysters and mussels which you are going to taste in one of the local restaurants. Another Ston’s landmark are its salt ponds, the oldest in Europe where salt is produced in the old fashioned way.
